The meeting will be held Monday, April 8 at 7pm, location TBD. Venetian Swim Team Alumnus Breaks 200 Freestyle Record !!! Beth Lewis sent this note and asked if we would share it with the VPCA community: hi Nick – just sent this email below to 2018 & 2019 pool sharks, but I think it would be great for the whole pool community to read and celebrate one of our poolshark alumni. thank you Nick, -BethGood morning 2018 & 2019 Poolshark families, This week, is March Madness for college swimming. Last night (Wednesday the 27th), in the first race of men’s Div I NCAA’s in Austin, TX, Venetian Poolshark alumnus (class of 2016) Dean Farris swam a 200 freestyle, faster than any other human being in history (including Michael Phelps). He broke the American, NCAA, and US Open record. LINK of his video, absolutely crushing the field. Dean is in his 3rd year at Harvard, competing for the Crimson Tide. Dean (6 more races to go) and his teammates will be racing each of the next 3 nights – broadcast on ESPN 3. Here is a LINK to more info.
