Luau! This Saturday!
Luau is this Saturday at 6. We will have an opening band, then two bands made up primarily of members. Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes. We will be serving some great BBQ and baked beans for $5 a plate cash or check only. Volunteers are needed the night of event to help serve food. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you can spare a few minutes. Colm requested that I please add: Please remember to not dispose of plates in the recycling bins. See you Saturday.
Car Break-in Notice
Two cars were broken into last Saturday in the early evening at the pool. A young woman walking back from the pool to her car on the upper parking lot discovered that her window had been broken; she called the police, who discovered the second damaged car whose owner, a long time member, wrote the following: “Nothing was taken from my car because I never leave anything in it. While the signs informing us to leave no valuables in the car are a good reminder, anything from an empty shopping bag to a make-up case looks like something to an opportunistic thief. People who leave things in their car put us all at risk and help create a bountiful hunting ground. There is something called the Clean Car Campaign. Look for tips on www.youtube.com/watch?v=3utDM2b7lh4 and be extra vigilant. Report all incidents to the pool manager or the lifeguards.”
