Pool Hours
It’s getting close—pool season is almost here and the Venetian Pools calendars are ready. The Events calendar shows special events, swim team practices, and swim meets. The Pool Hours calendar lists the times when the pool opens and closes each day. The Party Reservation calendar will list the parties that have been reserved and confirmed. Right now it only shows those times when parties may not be scheduled.
You can find the calendars in agenda format on the left hand side of the Home page. There are links below each calendar in order to see its information in calendar format. You can also find each calendar in calendar format under the Calendar tab. And if you prefer to see everything in a list, click on Pool Hour List 2013 or look under the Membership tab for the Pool Hours List. Time to make plans for a most excellent summer!
Party Policy
As you ponder wonderful days by the pool, thoughts of parties may begin to form. Anytime you bring more than 6 people, members or non-members, to the pool, you must book a party. You can click here for the or look under the Membership tab. Starting Opening Day, you may reserve a party date, time, and area by contacting Colm Jenkins, venetianmanager@gmail.com , or by submitting a completed Venetian Pools Party Reservation Format the front desk. You can check the Party Reservation calendar for availability. Once your party is confirmed, the $30 Reservation Deposit and completed Venetian Pools Party Reservation Form must be turned in at the front desk within 48 hours in order to hold the reservation. A completed Party Roster Form must be submitted no later than 48 hours before the party or the reservation will be cancelled. That is just the bare bones of the policy. Be sure to check out all the details in the policy if you are planning to host a party at Venetian.
Board Meeting on Monday
The Board will be meeting this Monday, May 6, at 7 p.m. in the Dance Hall at the Pool. The agenda will include pre-Opening Day items. Members are welcome to attend.
Afternoon Swim Team Practice
Remember that during the afternoon swim team practices, the lap lanes will be short. There will be at least one lap lane open for lap swimmers. The rest will be occupied by all kinds of Poolsharks. Afternoon practices will be M-F, from 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm, until Memorial Day. During the weeks of June 3, 10, and 17, afternoon practices will be M, W, Th, from 5 pm – 6 pm.
Grills, They are A-Coming
Dang. It is possible that the new grills will not be up and running by Opening Day. We will keep you posted in upcoming eSplashes. Those new tongs and fancy marinade concoctions may have to wait a bit, but it will be worth it!
Ribbon Cutting for Pool Opening
Plan to come to the ribbon cutting for our newly renovated pool at noon on Opening Day, Saturday, May 11! The celebration will include a slide show of the renovation work performed since last October. Note that the time listed in previous eSplashes was incorrect.
