Swim Team Registration
Be sure to register for Swim Team before April 15 before the late fees kick in!! Join the 150 or so kids that have already signed up. Parents – encourage your kids to talk to their friends about joining (or staying on) the team. Swimming is a great way to stay in shape over the summer for Fall soccer, football, lacrosse, etc.

Work Day on April 20
Put Saturday, April 20th, on your calendar for the Venetian Pools Work Day. It is time to get the pool ready for the 2013 summer season! We will start at 9 a.m. and be there all day until 5 p.m., so come for all or part of the day. There will be bagels and coffee in the morning and sandwiches and cold drinks in the afternoon. Earn a book of guest passes for every 2 hours worked per membership or finish a job at the end of the day. Everyone is welcome; however there will be no childcare for small children. We have big jobs and small jobs, including yard work, carpentry, deck staining, and weed pulling. Bring your yard tools, your tool box, your pressure washer, and your willingness to work. Let’s get ready for May 11th, Venetian Opening Day!
2013 Venetian Pools 40 Mile Challenge
Rinse out your goggles and dust off your fins; it is time to sign up for the 2013 Venetian Pools 40 Mile Swim Challenge. Last summer more than 100 members participated with 36 people meeting or exceeding the goal. To sign up, email mayahahn@att.net and a record sheet with your name will be in the notebook at the Front Desk on May 11. This is for everyone, whether you think of yourself as a lap swimmer or not. For FAQ’s, look on the website under “Events”.
New this year you will be able to track of your health with the addition of scales in both locker rooms and a blood pressure monitor at the front desk. Last season, pool members swam a total of over 2200 miles. We can exceed that this summer. If we swim a total of 4000 miles, we can make it to Dublin, Ireland. A few more miles takes us to Paris, France or Madrid, Spain. Wouldn’t you like to go there with fellow Venetian swimmers? All at no additional cost to you.
Pool and Snack Bar Manager
We are happy to announce that Colm Jenkins will be returning as the Pool Manager this year. In addition, he will be the manager of the Snack Bar Manager.
