Pool Opens at Noon Tomorrow, Friday, July 6
The pools will open at noon (instead of 10 a.m.) this Friday, July 6, to allow for continued work on the in-pool lights. Sorry about the late notice. We hope this will finish the job.
Thanks for a Great Fourth
Thanks to the Fourth of July committee and to the Venetian pool guards for our Silver Anniversary Fourth of July Celebration! Venetian Pools Community Association first opened its doors on July 4, 1987, 25 years ago.
Member Town Hall Meeting, Monday, 6:30 p.m.
The Membership Committee will be having a Town Hall meeting this Monday, July 9, at the pool at 6:30 p.m. (before the Board of Directors meeting). The topic is membership challenges, priorities, and possibilities for the future. This is a time to ask questions and give feedback to the Committee in person, although e-mail correspondence is always welcome. Cheryl Graves, email@example.com , is the Membership Committee Chair.
Board of Directors Meeting, Monday, 7 p.m.
The Board of Directors will be meeting this Monday, July 9, at the pool from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. One of the items to be discussed will be a proposal for fixing the pool gutters.
Venetian Master Plan for Review
It seems to come up every year. How do we address the parking problem? What about a special place for kids to play when they aren’t splashing around? How do we take full advantage of the space we have? The draft of a proposed master plan for Venetian Pools is posted on the pool bulletin board. We hope to get it on the website soon. Let us know what you think—reply or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org . This is a fluid document—your ideas are important to help guide Venetian Pools Community Association in the coming years.
Small Bills, Please
Please bring your small bills and change to the pool for the concession stand and guest passes. For security’s sake, the Concession Stand and Front Desk keep a limited amount of cash on hand to make change.
The Lost and Found pile is growing by the day! Find all your missing items (well, your car keys might not be there) on the racks at the entrance to the women’s locker room.
Poolside Recipe Request
Last week we had a call for favorite take-out menus. But along with pizza boxes and cardboard cartons, fabulous smells waft from the grill area and scrumptious dishes can be sighted on poolside tables. If you are one of those Venetian poolside cooks, send in your favorite recipes to share. Along with the take-out menu feature on the website, we are putting together favorite pool recipes to help you express your inner chef. All you winners of the potluck cook-off (hopefully you know who you are), be sure to contribute!
